Ice Cancellations at COP: Week of September 26

The following ice sessions at COP are CANCELLED due to mechanical problems on Joan Snyder Rink B ice.

 

Please READ and then TALK to your coach!

If you are registered for a session and it is cancelled, you will receive a credit for that session.  If you pick up a different session, PLEASE check in with Jeff Langdon as he is monitoring the pick up ice.  You must either pay or have the club bill you.

The following ice sessions at COP are CANCELLED due to mechanical problems.

 

Please READ and then TALK to your coach!

We know the ice will be busy (if you are skating in Canmore, you will have priority in getting on the ice –  Jeff and Diana will allow extra skaters) and getting your program in will be a priority (those skating at Canmore will be served first).  Please be patient with the coaches, they are doing the best they can with limited ice!

 

Week of September 19

 

Monday Sept 19:  6:00-7:00 pm Senior CANCELLED

1) if you have a skater registered on this ice, please speak to your coach!  They have a number of options available including:

  • Skating on the 4:00 pm session (only 12 skaters) currently registered;
  • Skating on the 5:00 pm session (21 skaters registered);
  • Skating on the 8:45-9:45 session at Jimmie Condon (14 registered);
  • Not skating and receiving a credit on your account.  If you are not competing in Canmore this weekend, you may consider this option as the ice will be crazy.

Tuesday Sept 20: 5:45-6:45 pm Int/Sr CANCELLED

 

1) if you have a skater registered on this ice, please speak to your coach!  They have a number of options available including:

Guess Who’s Coming to Town! Joannie Rochette’s Coach – Manon Perron!

Calalta is pleased to partner with Manon Perron for our next skating clinic!  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for your skater!

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday September 13, 14 and 15 (times vary so please check out the link below).

All sessions held at Winsport’s COP arena!  Parents are welcome to observe!  Each session is limited to 18 skaters so register quickly!

All skills levels from Star 3 to Star 10 (Jr Bronze to Gold) and Pre Juvenile to Senior are welcome!

Manon Perron is the coach of Joannie Rochette, a Canadian champion, a gold medalist at the World Championships and an Olympics bronze medalist. Manon has been performing her duties for more than 30 years and is NCCP Level 4 certified. She has enjoyed tremendous success with her skaters at all levels, ranging from section championships to international competitions. She won the Skate Canada Competitive Coach of the Year Award in 2007 and 2010, and was the first winner of GM Canada’s Making Dreams Possible program, as Joannie Rochette’s coach. Manon is currently giving seminars to coaches and athletes all over Canada and internationally. She is also a mentor coach in Skate Canada’s High Performance Mentorship Program and works directly with Calalta coaches Anabelle & Cody Hay.

Yuka Sato is coming!!

Calalta is pleased to partner with Yuka Sato for our next skating clinic held June 20 and 21, 2016

Yuka is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. She is the 1994 World champion, the 1990 World Junior champion and the 1993 & 1994 Japanese national champion. She placed 7th at the 1992 Winter Olympics and 5th at the 1994 Winter Olympics.
